Do you like ancient furniture?
Our classically Scandinavian Radius collection now features beautiful (and ancient) polished marble tops. Crafted from solid white oak and natural marble. Seats 2-4 at a 1m radius.
Marble
The Radius has been crafted from Italian Carrara marble, renown for its white and blue grey appearance. Found in mountainous regions, marble is a calcium carbonate-based stone formed by extreme heat and pressure resulting in a crystalline material. Every piece has veins of mineral patterns which make up its unique appearance. Easy to polish and excellent heat resistance, marble is a durable surface however it is porous and care must be taken, especially with acidic spills. Marble will develop its own patina over time depending on the level of care you give it.
Quality Assurance
Rigorously tested for correct measurements, colour, wood moisture (internals included), load bearing and construction strength.
Colour Accuracy
We try our best to ensure photography depicts colours as accurately as possible. Colours can appear different depending on the type of display you are viewing from, therefore we recommend viewing in person for true colour representation.
Care
Congratulations on your purchase of a natural marble table top. Marble is a beautiful surface however because it is quite soft and porous, marble can easily be stained, scratched, and chipped. The surface of this marble table top has been highly polished to close the pores to help prevent any damage. Regular cleanings should be as gentle as possible. Dust the surface once or twice a week with a soft cloth. Wash the marble periodically with a cloth dampened with warm water, and, if necessary, a bit of mild dishwashing liquid. Remove the soap with another damp cloth. Never use dusting sprays or abrasive cleaners on your marble.
To prevent ring marks, always place coasters under glasses and coffee cups/mugs. Use mats beneath hard objects that might scratch the surface. Always blot spills up immediately and rinse with a clean, damp cloth.
